Queen of Mono Lake
Starting her life long adventure as an educator, Evelyn Bernstein began as a teacher in New York, later developing her role as an active leader in the communities where she has lived.  She combined her passion for photography and her love of teaching children into a children's class during her 4 month solo exhibition at the museum.

By using photography to aid children in discovering different ways of seeing, Evelyn volunteered to lead the class which was folded into the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's (LACMA) summer program for inner city children.  She combined her efforts with a local camera store, Bel Air Camera, which supplied the class with cameras and developed the children's images.

Evelyn enjoys working with children.  If you are interested in having Evelyn speak at, or create a class for your school, contact Evelyn via e-mail at:  evelyn@evelynbernstein.com.
