My aim is to capture the essence of my subject, the immediacy of the moment as it becomes etched in memory - not only what is there, but what might be seen. Is it a staircase? A landscape, or an abstraction? Not to misdirect viewers, but to redirect their focus to other possibilities, to uncover the mystery within the object being photographed.
